Latest review of Blackmore's Night show in Buxton by Get Ready To Rock!

It is 50 years ago this month since an aspiring 17-year old guitarist with a cherry red 1961 Gibson ES-335 thinline electric guitar, serial number 26457,
quit his job at Heathrow and turned professional, doing a three-week UK package tour with The Condors from 21st April to 13th May where they backed The Kestrels,
Rolly Daniels, Danny Rivers and Mark Wynter who were touring with Gary US Bonds, Johnny Burnette and Gene McDaniels.
At the end of the tour, he joined one of the hardest-working touring bands, Screaming Lord Sutch And The Savages.
Congratulations on 50 years in the business, Ritchie!

The trendsetter of Carnaby Street in '65. He inspired the military look that Jimi Hendrix adopted: the clay pipe ala Sherlock Holmes; the big pocket watch from the March Hare; the pinstripe suits of the 60's plus a nautical telescope by his side.
All part of the make up of our dearest friend. I had the honor of working with him and Jimmy Evans in the Three Muketeers, based in Germany 1964-65. We will all miss the fantastic man in Arvid. Fare Thee Well Old Chap. See you on the other side.
You will be greatly missed.

August 14, 2011- Blackmore's Night travelled very far to perform for our wonderful fans in the Czech Republic at the amazing Castle Svihov. Unfortunately, due to a lightning storm at the time of the concert, with high winds and heavy rains, the promoter cancelled the 14 August concert in Svihov, to protect the safety of the fans, artist and the crew. Blackmore's Night would be happy to return to the Czech Republic to perform in Prague, in Svihov or in Cesky Krumlov, and we believe that the fans with tickets from the 14 August 2011 Svihov concert should not be charged any additional fees if they produce ticket stubs from the cancelled event. We are requesting that the promoter, Bulldozer, should arrange this new concert for the summer of 2012. Our fans are very important to us-and we hope to see you all in 2012.
